Opening Post
A year had passed since the unfortunate event that transpired at the Botanical Garden. Once a beautiful sanctum, now a barren wasteland locked from the public. The effects of the Dying Light event turned the area into a hazardous zone, death dealing to those who lacked fear. Some of those involved unfortunately met their end, some who survived quit the life of heroics. Truly a testament the damaging effects the Lucas Family held on the youth. However, for those that survived and were not deterred continued their residency into their second year. They continued to hone their abilities.
In the pursuit of this development, Class 1A and Class 1B travelled to California. The annual Sports Festival was beginning in a few days from their touch down arrival. Accompanying them was Dupe and Bowser, two prestigious professors at the prestigious Dawn University. Normally Dr. Stein and Shinoku were the leading teachers, but with the state of New York unraveling – they stayed behind. Dupe received a promotion and lead Class 1A while Bowser led the charge for Class 1B. Everyone was capable of socializing with another, considering all the students lived on the dormitories now.
The purpose of this treat was to showcase that Dawn University, one of the three pillars of New York’s heroism, was not intimidated with the rampant evil growing. It was beginning to push the country into an unsettling feeling, and this Sports Festival was a means to push the nation back on track. Although this was the political agenda, the students of Dawn University saw this nothing more than an opportunity to finally place their stake within the world of heroes. The school held a history of being one of the exceling pioneers in heroics, having won the festival the year before.
The students were made aware of this history, not by the professors because they only encouraged everyone’s best performance, but the media. They always caused for a magnifying glass over three academia bodies that normally attended the Sports Festival: Dawn University, Horizon College, and Dusk Institution. They were known as the Big Three of the Nation and frequently swapped the crown through the decades. Tension was being placed on the second years, especially by the upperclassmen of each school – considering this event was only for the rookies. Excitement boiled for some while nervousness for others. Regardless of which, the event was moments away. Which lead Dawn University to the front doors of the Staple Center.
The Staple Center had acquired historical context from housing the most successful franchises in history. Measuring 950,000 Square Feet of total space, with a 94-foot by 200-foot arena floor, it seats up to 20,000 people across all different sporting platforms. It has become the home for Sports Festival. Before entering, Dupe and Bowser stopped their respective classes to give a speech in unison.
"Alright kids. You guys have trained day and night for a year. I do not want you all worrying about the outcome. Give it your best and your true worth will be shown."
OOC Rules
You cannot leave the entrance area of the Staple Center.
You cannot sneak or plant anything inside or around the Staple Center.
You Must Recap the Last Year (the Time Skip) For Your Character.
End the Post Referring to Your Personal Entry into the Sports Festival.

POST YOUR PARENT TECHNIQUE. The Timeskip has Warrant a Power Up.
This Cycle Will Last 24 Hours.
Class 1A: Arthur, Lawrence, Jason, Siegfried, Derek, Mob, and Gohan
The day had finally arrived, the sports festival. The last year had passed in what seemed like the blink of an eye for Jiren as daily classes and training became the norm and he settled in to a routine.
Only once during the year had he taken a break to visit his hometown but that did nothing for him other than bring up painful memories. That and it reaffirmed exactly what he was fighting for, for true justice the kind very few envisioned.
The last year had greatly improved his skills and he felt confident heading in to the festival, when asked for a hero name he simply grunted his actual name. Jiren would be his name regardless, he had nothing to hide or protect anymore either way. Waiting patiently he reflected on his work with the Sparta agency and his fellow student Arthur, along with his continued rivalry with blackmayne.
Name: Stellar Battery Quirk: Mutant Quirk Level:Basic [Ascend] Rank: G Experience Points: Free Type: Supplementary Range: Self Damage: +1 Bonus DMG to Techniques & Freeform | +5 PHY to Each Attribute Description: The user’s physique experienced a mutation that causes it to become a battery for Stellar Energy, essentially the radiation found emanating all stars like the sun – primarily red and orange energy. Becoming stellar battery, the energy surrounds or permeates from the flesh to serve as supplementary and defensive facets. Due to the abundance of Stellar Energy being absorbed, there exist a barrier of glowing energy dense enough to defend against incoming damage; however, it has its limit thus can be destroyed. Due to the stockpiling of energy, the physique is incredibly enhance compared to the average human. These enhancements consist of superior physical conditioning. Due to the prolong exposure to Stellar Energy, it has drastically altered the skin to become gray – similar to alien depiction.
Drawback: Utilizing the Stellar Energy consequently drains the body of its storage, this results in periods where the physique becomes invulnerable due to being empty of Stellar Energy [This is Represented by All Passive Boosts Becoming Null Until Energy is Stored Once more.]
Drawback: There are Three [3] Stocks that Represents the Amount of Stellar Energy Stored. Utilizing a Technique Consumes 0.5 Stock, regardless of rank. Utilizing a Free-Form Action (Quirk Related) Consumes 0.5 Stock. Each Turn, 1 Stock is Replenished.
Drawback: Abusing the Stored Stellar Energy, enough to run empty, results in a cool down period where the body is passively fueling itself with lingering Stellar Energy. The duration of this period is two turns. After two turns, the ward is immediately formed.
Drawback: The Protective Ward shrouds the body, shrouding the body. Its damage magnitude is worth one, thus is capable of blocking one damage per turn. If clashed with higher damage, it will break - however the ward forms passively after two turns unless a technique is used to recreate it.
What a ride. Over the past year Go Go has been through what felt like hell. The assignments, the training, shit even dealing with Bowser was a task in itself. The first year student looked around the entrance area, slighty nervous. All of the hard work they've done would be put to test here, in front of thousands. Although Go Go was not a woman of great emotion, she began to get a little teary eyed. Not one to let others see this weakness, she quickly inhaled and shook the emotion off.
A girl carrying a clipboard began to roam around, before eventually coming to Go Go. The paper attached required not only her actual name, but a hero name as well. She was stumped. Before now she never really considered a name for the public to call her. Moments of thought would pass before she came to a conclusion. The name she wants has to represent "Go Go Tomago", and what better name than "Blitz"? It represents not only her passion of racing, but the speed, and lack of hesitation at which she leaped into the fray to stop villainy. Handing the clipboard back she would send the lady off with a pop of her gum.
Go Go looked around before heading over to Arthur, her roommate and friend at Dawn University.
How you holdin up king? she said, greeting him with a playful punch on the shoulder. Although Go Go wasn't a talker, she had no problem having conversations that could last hours with him. She would sit her bag down, containing her suit, next to him before sitting down herself.
Name: Hotbox Quirk: Emitter Quirk Level: Basic [Ascend] Rank: G Experience Points: Free Type: Supplementary Range: None Damage: 0 | Prolong Exposure to Smoke Induces Breakdown - After Three Consecutive Turns, Striking the Body Naturally Triggers Minor Organ Damage Modifier. Description: Hotbox is an Emitter Type Quirk that allows the user to produce smoke through her exhalation. Through the inhalation of oxygen, the body uses the waste that is naturally rejected from it. What is rejected is a misty haze, composition of carbon monoxide – carbon dioxide – and nitrogen oxide which mimics the natural phenomenon known as smoke. This misty haze composition can be exhaled through the mouth or nose. The misty haze created can have various effects, akin to actual smoke thus those expose is subjected to deliberating effects. The user, however, is immune to such effects.
Inner Workings ~
~ The Pinnacle Requirement for utilizing the Hotbox Quirk is Clear Oxygen. ~ Clear Oxygen Refers to an Environment [from User to Five Diameter] Not Inflicted by Atmospheric Constituents. ~ Atmospheric Constituents Refers to Toxins, Gases, Heat, Cold, and Pheromones Based Sources.
Drawbacks ~
~ These Inflictions Causes Technique and Trait Based Smoke to Dilute, Resulting in being Weaken. ~ All PHY or SPM Debuffs are Reduced by 50% | Triggers that are Turn Based Double | Smoke Duration that is Turn Based is Halved. ~ Hotbox Techniques naturally cannot deal damage. However, the effects deliberating effects can deal damage over time.
Jason waited ecstatically as the line shuffled forward. He was finally here! The site where LeBron James brought a championship over the Golden State Warriors to the Lakers, solidifying himself as the greatest basketball player of all time. Fitting, as he hoped to solidify a legacy of his own through this Sports Festival.
He wasn't much help during the events of the garden, in fact, he MIGHT have been a hindrance to his team. With the conditions of the terrain leading to the loss of his powers, as well as not being the best at controlling them, he was forced to sit and watch as the Heroes took a harsh defeat in the face of villainy. This and the fallout surrounding those events caused him to not only question what he thought of the nature of justice, but it spurred him to hone his skills so that he wouldn't have to sit helpless to the horrors of evil.
He was suddenly jarred from his reminiscing when he heard
"NEXT"
"Guess that's me "Name" "Firestorm! The Nuclear Man!"
He said as he outstretched his arms into a heroic pose
The person taking names looked up at him from his clipboard and rolled their eyes
"*sigh* Alright, Firestorm The Nuclear Man" "Wait wait what? Hold on I just wanted the Firestorm part!" "Sorry. I already wrote it down" "Aw come on! This is supposed to be where I finally show my true strength. I can't have a lame name like that. The rest of that was just grandstanding ya know" "Tell ya what kid. It takes 30 days to make an official hero name change,BUT I'll help you out just this once" Firestorm breathed a sigh of relief and took off to join the rest of the heroes as they were beginning to make their way into the arean "Okay great just make sure it says Firestorm so people know who I am!!"
He said as he blasted away to the other line
"No prob."
A second name taker leans over and sees the clipboard with his name "Hey isn't the parenthesis part going to look weird on his jersey and nametag?" "Hey, I've done all I can do here."
The clipboard read: Firestorm (The Nuclear Man)
*Official Documents to change name to Firestorm sent*
Name: Meltdown Quirk: Emitter Quirk Level: Basic [Ascend] Rank: G Experience Points: None Type: Supplementary Range: Self Damage: None Description: Meltdown is an emitter quirk that allows the user to control and manipulate the nuclear energy their body naturally produces, due to the biological waste the body produces. The user possesses a great level of control over the nuclear energy, being capable of emitting the energy in various projectile tactics: the control extends to trajectory alteration & releasing the energy from any point of their body. The user also possesses the ability to maintain control over a field of nuclear energy for various purposes. When active, the user’s head become alight with thermonuclear fire, which is a signature of the quirk. The user can only use this energy if it sterns from their own self, thus they are immune to their own power and effects.
Drawback: Meltdown is an destructive, violent power that requires maintenance. Using any of the power related to Meltdown for five consecutive turns results in an overload. The explosion has a ten diameter, in meter, effect range and deals five damage to anything caught by the blast. (this ignores damage shaving capabilities)
Disadvantage: To prevent an complete overload, the user can refrain from using the power of Meltdown to initial a cool down. During the cool down, none of the powers of Meltdown can be activated - otherwise it would ruin the cool down and result in an abrupt explosion for five damage. (this ignores damage shaving capabilities) After the cool down, the user's turn clock restarts over.
4 Turn Consecutive Use: 2 Turn Cool Down 5 Turn Consecutive Use: 3 Turn Cool Down
Advantage: Consequently using the power of Meltdown results in an buildup of power, this is represented by a Bonus Damage Increase.
Second Turn: +0.5 Damage Third Turn: +1 Damage Fourth Turn: +1.5 Damage Fifth Turn: +2 Damage

Year twenty, Arthur Pendragon has lived to see the sun rise and fall for two decades. Although the former half of the prior year was horrible, ranging from personal failures to being abducted, it was the catalyst for the prince to develop not only his character but a discipline of his body, mind, and spirit. This Arthur was different, more composed and certain of himself. Maturity had shaped the soon to be king into a refined warrior. Although the modesty of Arthur would prevent him from saying such, his demeanor was something his late father would be proud off.
The last exam was completely nerve racking for Arthur, however this event seemed rather unimportant. Granted it was an important benchmark, but the prince felt such exam was theatrical. He saw it more important to be challenging the evil of the world, especially the ones that ambushed the class last year. Arthur was not filled with vengeance, but he simply could not forget the foul actions they performed. His train of thought was broken when his roommate, Go Go Tamago struck him. His third roommate, the prince had a habit of befriending tough girls.
“Ehhh, I wish you wouldn’t call me that?”
Arthur would state this as he nervously smiled while rubbing the back of his head, rustling his hair.
“I have not earned the throne yet, besides. You mustn’t speak so loud about that!”
Arthur’s English was getting better, or rather his American English.
“I am fine.. Are thou ready GG? Your excitement rivals that of a pig eying slop.”
An officier from the Sports Festival walked up to Arthur with a clipboard, requesting that he confirm his registry with his real and hero name. Embarrassed since Go Go was standing next to him, Arthur reluctantly stated his Hero Name as writing it down.
"Golden Knight!"

Notes were sprawled across the table, nearly illegible as the words were jotted down in an inconspicuous manner - on black paper, the same hue lettering was impossible to read, but much like everything it's author wrote, it represented the state of being in America and subjected to the irony of the country's hatred for minorities while still utilizing aspects of those cultures. "Black on black like burnt food on the grill," was a frequent motto and mantra by the young man. Beside the notes were newspaper clippings and headlines from the last year; the murders and rise of crime syndicates, the abduction of famed and loved heroine Leona in an event the media had began calling "The Dying Light", the death of a fellow student
The man sucked his teeth under his breath as his mind wandered to the events of that day;he had thought of his weaponry and equipment to be superior and effective but an encounter with Casper showed that it was possible to completely bypass his equipment and harm him. It was the very encounter that forced him to rethink his strategies. As he balled up yet another failed schematic plan and threw it over his shoulder, mumbling the words "Kobe!" in the process, a robotic limb reached down to pick the paper up as he carried a tray of black coffee from Nigeria.
"Master Jackson, perhaps you would do well with these plans if you factored in the atomic spectroscopy technology, the cooling rate would increase," the figure said.
"No need, Geoffrey: division by atomization yielded the necessary results. Atomic spectroscopy would likely only hinder the process," the man responded. "Also, it's Blackmayne when in costume. You never know who's listening, Feds might have tapped the phones."
"Ah, yes Master Mayne," Geoffrey chided, his units chirping as he handed the coffee to Blackmayne. "Any word from T'Challa and the others?"
"He's busy with the running of our country. I also hear rumors of him being up to illegal deeds, but I haven't heard much from him directly. He has my cell tho, so if needed, he can contact me."
Standing, Blackmayne inspects the costume he was working on. "Shoulder guards need more work, still able to be pierced. Perhaps that Arctic Vibranium we discovered can be of use.... As for the others, Gogo is probably at a roller disco party and well Firestorm is being Firestorm."
"Sounds like you still haven't taken losing your money for that bet well yet"
"The series was rigged, idc. No way Steph drops 40 game 7 and we still lose but whatever... any news about Leona's whereabouts?"
"Nothing, sir. It seems the gang that has taken her has become well hidden."
"They're garbage, Geoffrey; eventually, all trash begins to stink and you can find it"
As he spoke, Blackmayne turned his attention to the notice from the school he gained in the last week in the mail. News regarding the festival had arrived and they were meant to meet in California for it to proceed. Motioning for Geoffrey to ready the Jackson Jet, Blackmayne decided he would fly private there under the public ruse of conducting business for the Jackson 5 organization (Not to be confused with the music group). Present Day
Arriving at the Center in costume was a wildly different experience; he was used to press, paparazzi, and eager new business majors trying to get word from him but now, it was just commotion, fans dressed likely their favorite upcoming hero and yells about who was the goat of the Top 10 Heroes. Misguided brothers, Blackmayne thought. If only they put that knowledge and passion towards something beneficial for the cause. Shaking his head, Blackmayne entered the arena and gave those inquiring his hero name (Blackmayne) as he looked around for familiar faces. He could see Go Go standing eagerly with the guy who had been tortured a year ago, Arthur. He never got a chance to ask him about the gang that did it, but in due time, he would find out about them and Leona. Firestorm was around, being as annoying as ever, and of course Jiren stood to the side, arms folding with a blank but somehow angry expression.
Walking to Firestorm, Blackmayne spoke to him.
"What a good chef? I see you finally took that money from a few weeks ago and bought some new clothes."

Am I ready? I mean if they gave us more time to prepare, that wouldn't hurt. But for the time being I'm as ready as I can get.
Go Go leaned back in her chair before throwing her arm around the back of Arthur's chair. She would extend her legs out, before crossing the left, over the right. She figured she might as well get comfortable, because when this tournament started there would be no relaxing.
The lady that approached Go Go earlier made her way over towards the two, carrying a clean sheeted clipboard. Guess the other sheet was full. This highlighted how many other students would be participating in this event. Go Go continued to chew her gum as she had already signed. Curious about Arthur's hero name she leaned over to get a peek at the clipboard.
The clipboard read "Golden Knight".
HAHAHAHAHA
This amused Go Go to no end. Her laughter echoed throughout the lobby.
GOLDEN KNIGHT? THATS ADORABLE! .
POWERPLAY:
Everyone has to react to Arthur's hero name.

A year had passed within the blink of an eye mainly because Siegfried had spent most of his tune training and going to Dawn Uni. But now it's time for the sports festival. This event was something Sieg had heard about from some of the professors at Dawn and it sparked his interest. Thus along with the rest of his class he traveled to where it was being held.
Arriving in California, Class 1b had been taken to the staples center. Seig saw class 1a and instantly begun to look for his brother. After searching the crowd for a breif moment he spotted him standing and conversing with a women.
"Brother! You are here as well hopefully we'll get to test our strength against one another.
But before he could get an answer from Arthur, Seig was approached by a worker of the sports festival asking for his Hero Name. However Seigfrief misheard the worker and gave him his full name.
"Siegfried Pendragon"
Worker: Your full name is your hero name? At least that's better than "Golden Knight"
"Who's name is that? That's a way better than using mu real name... My new Hero name will be Royal Heat
Name: Embodiment of Mael, The Radiant Quirk: Transformation Quirk Level: Basic [Ascend] Rank: G Experience Points: Free Type: Supplementary Range: Self Damage: 0 Description: This quirk allows Siegfried to host a sentient being, which dubbed as a divine spirit, known as Mael, the Radiant. This divine spirit existence is symbiotically linked to Siegfried’s body heat, thus its passively sustains itself by siphoning the body’s heat. Due to its sentience, Mael experiences the external world identical to Siegfried – in fact the spirit’s senses are directly linked to his physical senses. Possessing its own strength, speed, and durability – Mael can be autonomously act and/or be summoned for offensive – defensive – supplementary purposes. Emerging from the vessel, Mael is corporeal in appearance and composition; thus, is capable of interact with the world. Due to the nature of this Quirk, Siegfried is immune to Heat Related Debuffs & Immune [E-D Ranks] to Cold-Related Debuffs. Only when Merged with Mael.
Inner Workings
Mael, the Radiant possesses a heat based affinity in its composition. The heat is intense enough to set ablaze objects, that are flammable, should the spirit come into direct contact. Its intense enough to naturally weaken equipment/costume based items [Plus 1 Damage to Equipment/Costume Base Items] + [Requires Technique]
Mael, the Radiant can only interact with the world directly should it completely emerge from the user’s body. At this level of mastery, the synchronization is not strong enough for Mael to reside in Siegfried while emerging from the body. [Requires Technique]
Mael, the Radiant siphons the user’s body of its heat production which results in the spirt naturally being hot. When the spirit resides in Siegfried, he experiences an elemental damage increase to all their techniques. [Requires Technique]
Drawbacks
~ When Mael separates from the user’s body, the body experiences hypothermia. Each Turn Mael, the Radiant remains separate from Siegfried the buildup to hypothermia increases by 10%. Should Siegfried recall Mael before its 50% Drain Mark [As Explained In the Next Note], heat regulation begins and restores the body by 10% per turn. Any Stamina deduction is permanent.
~ Mael, the Radiant loses power the longer its remains emerged from the user's body since it cannot siphon heat. This drain occurs at 10% Per turn for all long as Mael is autonomous. Aesthetically, it loses its flare and starts to appear as cold-coal.

As he spoke to Firestorm, Blackmayne heard a shrill pitched voice ring out with crazed, manic laughter accompanying it.
"GOLDEN KNIGHT? THATS ADORABLE!" Gogo laughed as she peered over his shoulder, her enjoyment clearly too much to contain.
Blackmayne raised an eyebrow as he looked at him. Golden Knight, he thought. He resembled a Golden Power Ranger lost in time, stepping fresh out of medieval times. Blackmayne would have to keep an eye on the man, trying to figure out just what the criminal organization wanted to do with him. Motioning for Firestorm to walk with him, they approached the two.
"Good evening, my misguided acquaintances. Gogo, did the results of that African Ancestry test come back yet? Arthur, (Goldust was it?) I dont think weve spoken much over the last year. Why did the Lucas family target You? Perhaps Camelot is hiding more secrets than a Maury episode..."
Oh goodie! The year finally came! In all honestly, he could've waited another year for all the confidence he had. His training was slow, his progress wasn't really as fast as he'd like, though that was probably due to him not taking it as seriously as she should've been. Now, he was gonna pay for that. All those times going out on a walk instead of studying, flopping out and reading instead of truly expanding his lung capacity, passing out at his desk instead of cramming for the next exam... Yeah. That wasn't going to work for him now. The announcer guy said to not take this too seriously, to just do his best and whatnot but you know... Since when did anyone ever take THAT to heart? Telling people to chill out often had the opposite effect. He knew his parents were up there in the stands, ready to watch him fail horribly but you know what...? Did he care?
...Yes. Immensely. He had an ego. Did he show it? Not in the slightest. Crossing his arms, he waited for his turn at registration, the person with the clipboard not looking overly impressed with him. Yeah. He didn't look like much himself.
"Name." He demanded.
"Cyclone." Hiku responded with a sigh, slightly embarrassed. These names though. Good god the CHEESE was insane! He sounded like he was someone from the golden age of comics where villains were about as evil as stealing cakes and heroes were so larger than life, they practically took up the entire book for one panel! Whatever. It wasn't like anyone was going to remember him. The worst he was probably going to get was a scolding from his parents then teasing once that died down. Again... the man with the clip-board didn't look overly impressed. Well. At least they agreed on something. With nothing more to be said, Hiku went and filled out his quirk information. Once he was done, a loud, echoing laugh shot through the entire registration center, catching the attention of.... *sigh* "Cyclone", apparently the voice chuckling at the name "Golden Knight." Well... It couldn't possibly be worse than his. Whatever. He just hoped whoever held that name had enough sense to make it look cool... or else he'll be the laughing stock of this tournament. With a grunt, he just shook his head and tried to stomach the embarrassment of his own hero name, more ready than ever for this to be over.
Name: Tempest Warden Quirk: Mutation Quirk Level: Basic [Ascend] Rank: G Experience Points: Free Type: Offensive/Defensive/Supplementary Range: Self Damage: +1 SPM Bonus to Projectile Speed or Movement Speed or Attack Speed. Description: This quirk displays a strange mutation within his body, creating almost a pair of lung-like organs within the pores of his skin. With these pores, air is sucked in and stored, each one seemingly also linked to his main lungs in his chest, giving him an extreme amount of lung-capacity. The more air is stored, the more powerful his next attack will be. More importantly, this also allows him to control and manipulate the air within his skin through timed releases and mental control. The control manifests in three potential ways of usage.
Cyclones: Pulsating Vortexes created through the release of air from his body all at once. These are used to push and shove things away with its direction of rotation. To be elaborated in techniques.
Reverse Cyclones: The body can forcefully absorb more and more air, creating an reverse cyclone effect. This pulls things closer to the user.
Bubbles: From his finger-tips, the user is able to release controlled bursts of air in the form of bubbles that shoot out at high speeds and strike with concussive force. Drawback: At the Current Level of Mastery, the User's Body Naturally Absorbs More Air than Normal. Every Turn, the User earns two Air Levels which caps at 7 Air Levels.
Physical Physique has Improved: +5 PHY in Each Attribute. Cannot Pick Peak Conditioning as a Prize.
As he made his way to the gathering line towards the entrance, Jason was approached by a familiar face.
"What a good chef? I see you finally took that money from a few weeks ago and bought some new clothes."
It was Blackmayne, an ally he'd made during the events of that garden. In all honesty, in his weakened state Firestorm had Blackmayne and a certain prince to thank for his life.
"Sup! I see you have been..umm...working out?"
Jason said as noticed Blackmayne's increased physique since the last time he saw you
"I hope you know roiding up before the event won't help you though and they DO drug test before you sign up"
At that moment, a passerby with an exquisite looking cigar happened by as he exhaled a cloud of smoke
Nah bro *cough* they don't.
"W-wait they don't?!"
Firestorm said in shock as he swung his head around to see the passerby
"So why did I buy that p-"
Firestorm reacted to the shrill laugh similarly to Blackmayne, as he began walking over to the noise alongside him to investigate.
The Lucas Family? Oh like the mob guys? Man, what did you do to piss them off? Is that why you took such a weird name? To throw them off your trail?

The morning was early, the other two schools were arriving. Of course, there were hundreds of applicants that arrived before and after Dawn University, however they were mediocre to slightly above average academic bodies. News coverage was out, randomly selecting students and professors for quick interviews – trying to locate the scoop. They became energized with the arrival of Dawn University; however, they were snuffed from the opportunity to plague the students with questions. The only other schools to generate that level of activity was Dusk Institution, who had just arrived at the scene. Their vibe felt very playful, flamboyant in nature. All of them overflowing with confidence.
As they arrived, their professors let them engage a lot of the students. It seemed they loved to soak up the attention. It was during this time that Arthur Pendragon was extremely embarrassed thanks to his so-called friend. Go Go was always tough on Arthur, playing pranks. Doing so in public was not beyond the boundaries she held. He would shout in response, gripping onto his hair – sweat beating down his forehead.
“WHYYYYYY GO GO!?!?!?!”
As he began to panic, his brother Siegfried approached him. This made it even worse because his older brother was prong to humiliating Arthur for fun.
“Oh, the mystics!!”
After that point, the classmates Lawrence and Jason walked up. The former spoke of the incident involving his abduction, a topic that did not sit well with the prince – even to this day. His nervous, embarrassed state quickly shifted to one of depression. He would fall to his knees, completely bummed out. All that confidence and certainty dissipated quickly. After that point, everything kind of blocked out. Go Go was laughing, Lawrence continued to speak of some unfamiliar topic, and the Jason fellow. Well Arthur was already disconnected from his environment at this point to even register what he may have said.
Three of the Dusk Institution Students Approached Lawrence, Arthur, Jason, Go Go, and Siegfrid. The one with the yellow undershirt was snickering as he pointed at Arthur whom was publically sulking. The girl looked at Go Go whom was laughing out loud, she expressed a look of disgust. As for the teen with glasses, he took them off as he began his speech.
“Judging from your uniforms, you are some of Dawn University’s representatives this year.”
The girl would utter the word yuck before speaking.
“I see why you guys did not attend last year. Looks like the school is losing their eye for talent….hell at least proper females.”
The one with the yellow undershirt began laughing even louder than Go Go. It of course made the girl wince abit, but they were a team. Public cohesiveness was more important at the moment.
“Look at this one chump. On the floor cracking under pressure. You weakling! Shit you ain’t even…”
The one in the glasses moved his arm ahead of the rowdy one, signaling that he wanted him to stop. If that wasn’t enough, he spoke immediately afterwards.
“The Media says the only reason why we won the Sports Festival last year was due to your absence.”
“Pfft!.”
“As if!”
“I say not. Our school is prestigious, more so than you bunch of buffoons. We shall take great pleasure in showing the world that we are definitely better!”

Go Go quickly stood after hearing the words of the dusk students. Immediately she made her way over to the three students, specifically to the girl and stood face to face with her. Go Go didn't know what their problem was, nor did she care. She quickly looked the yellow shirted boy, as well as the kid with the thick ass goggles up and down, before looking back at the girl. Her gum chewing became louder and louder as she did so. Go Go would blow air into the gum, creating a bubble that would pop from the pressure.
Without hesitation she reached for the girl's hand, while simultaneously taking her piece of gum from her mouth. In a quick motion she placed the chewed, sticky, squishy gum into the palm of her hand.
Take that back to the dumpster you three crawled out of and toss it. Fuck Dusk!
A year had passed since Roland had been admitted to Dawn University, following the recommendation he had obtained from Fritz. It had been an arduous task: placed in class 1B, Roland saw the gap that existed between himself and those who had spent their lives groomed to become professional heroes. The training and courses were intense, and lacking a combat related Quirk meant Roland often flew under the radar - the staff at the school itself had taken a keen interest in Roland due to possessing a healing Quirk, but it didn't amount to much more than Roland being on call in case someone was seriously injured. But Roland had pushed himself hard to make sure he kept up, training rigorously to keep himself in peak condition, and standing near the top of his class academically.
He didn't realize it, but as he stepped off the bus to their landing at Staples Center, he was happy to be back home in California. New York had a different pulse, and the atmosphere in California was much more his speed; he intended, if he had the opportunity, to return to Los Angeles to visit his parents, whom had returned home at the end of the Winter Term.
The aspiring heroes were corralled into a vomitorium of sorts, where, already, there was a buzz of excitement. Roland heard a gasp and shout of the words "Golden Knight", perhaps someone's hero name, as they had been advised to have one chosen before arriving to the stadium.
Making his way through the line, Roland was greeted by a young man, just a few years older than himself, sitting at a table and recording notes - several at a time, as he seemed to have a Quirk that gave him the tentacles of an octopus, which he was using to manipulate a variety of writing instruments.
"Name, School, Class, and Hero name, please," said the man, as he peaked up over round spectacles at Roland.
"Roland Orlandu, Dawn University Class 1B. My hero name is 'Bastion'," he said, as the man quickly scribbled all that down, and a flash went off taking Roland's photo.
"Very well, you're free to move on. Good luck and have fun," he said to Roland as he was admitted into the holding areas, Roland returning a kind nod as he walked through.
An incredible amount of determination burned inside him. This was Roland's first real chance to prove his capability as a hero, and the first real step he could take on the path to being a hero who saved people.
Walking forward with his head held high, and a burning confidence, the young man smiled in the sunshine.
Name: Repairrier Quirk: Emitter Quirk Level: Basic [Ascend] Rank: G Experience Points: 0 Type: Supplementary Range: Self Damage: N/A Description: Reparrier is an Emitter-type Quirk possessed by Roland Orlandu, which allows him to project barriers. Although they possess a durability capable of defensive tactics, inside the barriers the true power lies. The zone within the barrier possesses a flux on time, allowing Roland to rewind the state of things: this including inanimate and sentient. The rewinding of time, creates a sense of restoration since it reverts any damage, debuff, and/or state of condition the entity has been stricken with. This power is incapable of reverting anything beyond its original state. This means that if the person is born without an arm, then returning that person to their original state of existence will not present them with that missing arm. An item could never be made into a better quality than the best it had ever been; the healing properties of the barriers cannot undo death, though it can regenerate lost limbs. As the barriers are solid, they filter damage, debuffs, and other effects from passing through their boundary unless they are destroyed, protecting those within from further harm or negative effects.
Drawbacks: Repairrier’s barriers begin as a mass of twinkling lights that originate at Roland, which he can project away from himself and manifest into their barrier form once they reach their destination. While in their unprojected form, the Barrier cannot be interacted with in anyway – their travel speed is dictated by the ACC stat. They can contain a maximum volume of a spherical area with a 5m diameter.
Drawbacks: Restoring Inanimate or Sentient Objects to its Original State requires time. Any destruction to weapons or the body require two turns to return back to its original state of existence. During this time, the destroyed item or body part still remains nonfunctioning. Any effects administered from the destruction is not removed until the end of the second turn.
Drawbacks: Reverting Damage & Debuff from Inanimate or Sentient Objects requires time. This restoration is more rapid than reverting objects to their original state, thus there are rates of healing based on the rank of the technique used. This also removes non-stat effecting debuffs (example: paralysis) within one turn not originating from total destruction, such as organ damage, which is restored by the two-turn destruction restoration instead.
E-Rank: Restoring 1 DMG Per Turn | Restoring 5 PHY per stat Per Turn D-Rank: Restoring 2 DMG Per Turn | Restoring 10 PHY per stat Per Turn G-Rank: Restoring 3 DMG Per Turn | Restoring 15 PHY per stat Per Turn B-Rank: Restoring 4 DMG Per Turn | Restoring 20 PHY per stat Per Turn A-Rank: Restoring 5 DMG Per Turn | Restoring 25 PHY per stat Per Turn Z-Rank: Restoring 6 DMG Per Turn | Restoring 30 PHY per stat Per Turn
Drawbacks: At the Basic Mastery Level, Roland can Only Conjure and Maintain One Barrier at Once.
