Deep in the underground of the villains black market, all that could be heard in the dark corner were the sound of rain drops hitting the bare concrete, and the skittering of the odd rat or mouse running through the darkness, searching for any scraps it could to stay alive. In this dark corner, sat a man, or at least, assumed a man, as their features were masked entirely. Black priest like robes, a red scarf and pale white mask, the figure sat in silence, listening, waiting, being patient. Other villains, mostly low time thugs with weak quirks walker by, muttering utter non sense and uselessness, bragging about how they held up a defenseless civilian or robbed a supermarket and got away. Small time, petty crimes, being boasted about by small time, petty villains. The figure had been here for several weeks, no one had seen him move, or even eat, but in the time he had been here, he was so far unimpressed. Where he had come from, the villains were far more ruthless, handing out true evil among the populace, not stealing from shops and beating up women and children, in the figures mind, it was pathetic.
The figure continued to sit in his dark corner, listening to the those who passed by and the general hustle and bustle of the underground, when a small group of three men he had seen wander past a few times, were speaking about something that caught their attention. As the three men walked past, the figure could see a small haul, likely from some small time grocery shop or market stall, nothing worth mentioning, but what they were talking about doing later is what caught the figures attention. As the three men strolled past, they were deep in conversation.
Tomorrow for sure, we'll take care of that bouncer and get in through the back door, after that, the vault is upstairs to the right, easy job. The club pulls in thousands every night, so if we hit just after closing, we should make a killing.
You're right boss, but taking out the bouncer will be hard, i heard he has a quirk, and we haven't figured out what he can do yet, so it could be too risky.
I know, we'll just have to hope my quirk is enough to deal with it while you boys pick the lock, otherwise we might have to try somewhere else.
This conversation peaked the figures interest, as he slowly stoop up from the darkness. Like a shadow, the figured moved towards the three men, appearing behind them from the darkness before they had even noticed his presence. The men were about to continue talking when the figure spoke himself.
Perhaps, i might be of some help. My, abilities, are good for dealing with other people, i'll merely take a small cut, 10%, sound fair?
All three men jumped out of their skin as the figure, who from their voice, was apparently a man, had appeared behind them and spoke, asking to join their little robbery. The man in front, with red spikey hair and a black shirt, with a skull on it, how cliche, was the first to step forward, pushing his two friends behind him in some sort of protection. The man knew it would be as easy as swatting flies to kill them all here and now, but if he wanted to make any sort of money in this town, he would need information about how things go down in this city before he would go out on his own, so he let the man assume he was in control, and let him assume he was protecting anything. A few silent moment's went by as the leader sized the man up, head to toe, it was clear he was still nervous, a man dressed head to toe in black with a white mask didn't exactly scream safety, As the tension died down, the leader finally spoke.
So you want to help hmm? You new around here? Haven't really seen your....mask around here lately, do you have a name?
The man was clearly nervous, not sure how to approach the man with the mask. Internally, the man found it hilarious, that villains would be scared of other villains, when living evil lives was what they enjoyed. Non the less, the man chuckled slightly, before speaking to the leader.
Yes, i am knew, i seemed to have found myself in this city not too long ago. As for a name, yes, my name is Koren, my villain name is Carnage though, whichever you decide to call me by if fine, im happy with either. Do you have names yourself?
The three men glanced between themselves as Koren finished speaking. They were clearly still a little nervous around him, but were slowly coming around. However, the other two men in the back still seemed banned from speaking as, once again, it was the leader of the group that spoke for them.
Well, welcome to Hero city Koren. I'm Doug, behind me is Sam and Riki. My little brothers. Why do you want to help us with this in the first place?
A truly valid question, and one Koren had to lie to answer, but he was happy to. Little brothers though, it made all the more sense to Koren now, why Doug was standing between him and them. A defensive front if Koren decided to attack, allowing them to flee. It was immediately obvious Doug had been the protector of his brothers for some time, perhaps they were simply weak, or he was over protective, Koren didn't know, but first he had to answer their mundane questions.
Well, i am new here, and haven't had a chance to learn the lay of the city. Also, im quite strapped for money right now, as i entered Hero city under some what, illegal term, it left me with little option to carry anything besides my own body. Also, i overheard your issue with the bouncer of this club, and i guarantee, my abilities should be more than enough to deal with some back alley thug guarding a door.
The three men listened intently, before turning to form a small huddled circle to speak. It was semi pointless, Koren could hear what they were whispering, as they were no more than a foot in front of him, but he was already quite happy to assume these three were idiots, and let them off the hook this time. Time felt like it was drawing on forever as the three spoke more and more, one not trusting Koren, the other knowing they needed the help, and Doug, the leader, trying to piece it all together. Finally, after a lot of deliberation, the three turned back towards Koren, a united front formed before his eyes as Doug spoke once more.
Alright Koren, you can help, and we'll give you a 10% cut of whatever we take, just as you asked. The plan is to show up at 3am, which is an hour after the club closes. That should be enough time for the manager to collect all the money from the till's and be counting it in his office. There's one guard at the back door, and one at the main door to her office. We know this because our other brother is a bartender at the bar. Once we take out the bouncer out back, Sam can pick the lock, and me and Riki will go up into the office. Neither the manager or the guard their have offensive quirks, so we can take them out easily. You and Sam will guard the back, take out anyone who might get in the way. Once we have the cash, we vanish down the sewer pipe on 6th, and rendezvous back here, sound good?
It was honestly a solid plan, and having another brother with inside knowledge was good to have, which was surprising to Koren. In his mind this was going to more of an assault and battery type of robbery, but it seemed they planned to merely rob the place, and not hurt anyone, which was rather boring for Korens liking, but he would go along with the plan, mostly.
A well thought out plan, should go off without a hitch. Only one thing, let me deal with the bouncer alone. My...abilities, are best used without anyone else around, as you may get caught in the crossfire of my quirk, which would send the entire plan a stray. Once he's dealt with, i'll signal you all to come back and do you part, does that sound good?
All three men nodded in unison, not even questioning Koren. It was weird how trusting they already were, and how not a single one of them even asked what Koren's quirk was. They truly were idiots. After a little more planning, the group split up, planning to meet at the club at 3am. It was already midnight, meaning Koren had a few hours to kill before the operation was to go down. Choosing the basic route, Koren went to the surface, to the club, and scoped the area out himself.
Once Koren arrived, he saw it really was as simple as the brothers made it sound. At the back, one bouncer, no camera's. Likely so the bouncers could take out rowdy patrons and rough them up a bit without any evidence. This worked in Koren's favor mostly, but it was obvious the bouncer must be skilled if he was guarding the door by himself. Out the front of the club, three bouncers and several camera's, as well as a speaker system blasting horrible music, which also helped Koren. The music would mask the sound of him taking out the bouncer in the back. With Koren's watching, he noticed one of the front bouncers came out back every hour, at the half mark, for a smoke with the other bouncer, which again, could not have been more perfect. This gave Koren and the group a half an hour window before anyone would show up to check, which was plenty of time.
3am rolled around, and the group showed up, hiding around the corner as Koren made his move. It was obvious the bouncer would be on guard, as Koren stumbled like a drunk into the back alleyway. Koren's walking was eradict, and as he walked, he bumped into a trash can, clipping the corner and hitting the bin over as well as collapsing onto the ground like a drunken idiot> slowly getting up, he could hear footsteps coming towards him as he stabled himself back up, still wobbling. The bouncer came up really close, showing Koren just how confident he was, as he placed his hand on Korens shoulder and began speaking.
Hey buddy, you ca-
Koren was quicker than the man, his size and bulk his down fall. With his left hand, Koren grabbed the mans elbow, activating his quirk, the Crush vibrated briefly before connecting with the elbow joint, snapped it neigh instantly in the wrong direction, the crack of the bone was like ecstasy to Koren, as the sound reverberated through the alleyway. However, that wasn't the only sound, as the bouncer began to scream in agony. However, Koren couldn't have this, with his right hand, Koren grabbed the mans mouth, muffling the scream. With his right leg, Koren brought it around the mans right leg before buckling his knee with his own leg. At the same time, Koren would push on the mans head, taking him clean off balance and slamming his head into the ground. In any normal situation, this would result in a headache, but as Korens quirk hit the mans head, the cracking of his skull was the neck sound as it hit the concrete with unimaginable force, killing him instantly. Blood immediately started pooling from the back of the mans head as he lay there, eyes wide and lifeless. Koren's entire body tingled with excitement, as the crimson substance oozed out onto the ground. In his euphoric state, Koren almost forgot about the mission, and whistled a tune to signal the group to come up. As they appeared, Sam immediately made work with the lock, as Doug stood next to Koren, clearly a little shaken from the sight before him. The paleness in his face made Koren realize this was likely not something the boys had ever seen, and realized he had to calm them down.
Don't worry Doug, he's just unconscious. He'll have a mean headache in the morning though, heh.
Doug merely nodded as the clicking of the lock sounded. This snapped Doug from his state as he dashed to the door, Riki was close behind. As the two vanished into the darkness, Sam made his way over to Koren, who was leaning against the wall glaring down at the body on the ground, a dead body to him, an unconscious one to Sam. Sam glanced at the body before turning to Koren, a somewhat awe struck look on his face.
That was awesome, you took him down so easily. I heard this guys quirk is some like, muscle bulking thing, where he makes himself super strong, but you made it look effortless, what's your quirk anyway? '
Under the mask, Koren smiled, Sam was like little kid with a new toy, all excited and giddy about a new thing. Sam would be completely unaware of the monster he was talking to, at least until he was done with Sam.
Do you really want to know what my quirk is?
It was a lure, as the boy nodded enthusiastically, unknowing to him it would be the second last emotion he would ever feel, this being excitement, the last being fear. using the same speed he'd used on the bouncer, Koren grabbed Sam by the face and spun him into the wall, leaning in close to the boys wide eyes. He had already established Sam was born without a quirk, so he was safe as he spoke again.
My quirk is, i smash thing, and they die.
Vibrations would rattle through Sams head as his head slammed into the wall, the skull shattering upon impact, and the sound of blood hitting the wall once again like bliss to Koren's ears. The music out front had been turned down enough that Koren could hear it easily, but also knew that even if the music was there, he had heard it enough times to simply imagine the sound of broken bones. Sam's body went completely limp, as it slumped to the ground, a streak of blood going down the wall. It was beautiful to Koren, but he also knew he'd have to deal with Doug and Riki. Moving away from Sam's body, Koren positioned himself behind the door, in the darkness, and out of sight of the two men as they came barreling out of the door, shoulder to shoulder, bother carrying a small bag. In Riki's hand, a small knife with blood dripping from it was clenched with white knuckles. Both men were panting heavily as they stood up, before going completely rigid at the sight of Sam's dead body. This hesitation is what killed them. As soon as they went into shock, Koren moved. Grabbing both men on either side of the head, he slammed their heads together while activating his quirk, the impact of both skulls hitting like two boulders, shattering and showering Koren in blood. Neither had seen it coming, as their bodies slumped to the ground before him. This was far too easy, the group was full of idiots, and neither were able to fight, and Koren was left really unsatisfied with his effort. Squatting down, he took a small handful of cash from the bag with one hand, while dipping his other hand in the pool of blood around his feet. Walking over to the wall, Koren wiped blood across the wall, spelling out some words on the wall.
"Carnage Is Coming.
With his signature set, Koren spun on his heel, and vanished into the dark, the sound of his robes fluttering breifly as the 4 bodies lay on the ground, an ever growing pool of blood continuing to form as the figure who had caused it merged into the black, vanishing from sight.
