< CRISIS SYSTEM ARRIVED! > The Crisis System has finally be constructed and release to the general public. We encourage people to test out the system and enjoy themselves in drafting grand stories capable of changing the dynamics of the Role-Play World. Understand that the system is new, thus there are some kinks to be worked out that we couldn't due to not having enough man power to test! Make sure to read the rules which are placed in the Rules and Checks section of the RP Boards.
< THE NEXT MAJOR EVENT! > The Next Major Event will arrive starting the first week of Decemeber! Why are we making this announcement so early? Because we want to provide ample amount of opportunity to warn the community to start preparing and testing out their move sets. It will be a faction event once more, which means Heroes vs Villains BUT remember that Vigilantes are now thrown into the fray. It would be utter chaos so stay tune!
< To Be Announced > TBA
Gambit walks closer to the action he is seeing panning out and crosses his arms but stays a distance so he doesn't get caught in between anyone's cross hairs.. He smirks a little at the two guys trying to intimidate the Lucas Family. He knew of their name and knew they wasn't nothing to play around with. Gambit continues shuffling the cards in his hands after he ate the finger food he grabbed from the server's tray. Under his breath he say, "These guys are to hot headed. I need to keep my distance." Gambit tosses one of his cards in the air and it drops back into the deck. He continues on with his tricks as he watches.
Tony cut a shady side-eye at the man who decided to approach and talk to him about Elliot. He didn't know who he was, but assuming the invite was sent to almost mainly rookies and those new to the game, he was clearly a rookie. He should know better than to talk openly about people. There were no friends in this business, only family, and consumers. His father taught him enough. Considering where he was, he decided to stop him from talking too much and ruining a potential network. "Hey, who's the halfwit? I'm surprised he didn't knock himself out pa-" and with a snap of Tony's finger's another word never left that man's mouth. His lips moved but no sound was made.
"Watch your mouth rookie. Look where you are, this isn't a High School party where you openly talk about people you don't like. I would dead-ass smack you right now if you were in my family." He said in a very deep New York accent. There weren't any ill intentions, but he was trying to school guy on game.
Just then, he heard another obnoxious voice yell out random names from behind him. He turned his head and raised his eyebrow to notice another individual approaching. One of the names caught his ear, being Deathpierce. How did this guy know deathpierce? And did this disrespectful rookie know deathpierce as well? He was intrigued. He snapped his fingers once more and gave Nike his voice back.
"Let's start this over, My name is Tony Lucas, Eldest Son of Frank Lucas, and the Crime Prince. Nice to meet you!" Frank said, extending his hand out to greet the two men. (Drayce and Nike)
Meanwhile, another rookie had tried to overstep his place. Tony had acted like he didn't hear it and ignored it. Of course, this wasn't because he didn't care, but because he knew his sister had heard it as well considering her quirk. He would let her deal with that.
At the very center of the greenhouse, where the other three Lucas family members, as well as Elliot, conversed and watched, Gaunter's comments had caught the ear of one of the Lucas family members despite being so far away. Her name was Xuebei Lucas and was the third eldest daughter of Frank Lucas. She wore a golden headpiece with an intricate design and 14 karat gold earrings with a white blouse made from Egyptian silk.
Without any warning or sign, she appeared directly in front of Gaunter, eyes locked. She spoke to him, but she did not open her mouth, nor was there any audible sounds, only a voice inside Gaunter's mind.
"Who sent you and how do you know about the Sun's End? I don't want to tear apart your psyche to find it but I will!"
The Voice echoed throughout his mind, almost detached from reality itself. A very scary and unorthdox experience. (Rexii)

With a single snap of the man's fingers, Nike's words were cut short mid-sentence. His mouth moved, but didn't produce any sound. He'd apparently said something to upset the man, but, well, Nike tended to have that effect on people. His anger didn't really come as a surprise. Rather than concern himself with that, Nike nonchalantly marveled at the man's peculiar ability to silence him with such minimal effort. The way he so casually demonstrated such a powerful ability, while concealing the full details to his Quirk implied that the man's power extended far beyond what he chose to reveal.
"Watch your mouth rookie. Look where you are, this isn't a High School party where you openly talk about people you don't like. I would dead-ass smack you right now if you were in my family."
*Heh ~ I wonder why I'm getting scolded, I was under the impression that he wasn't too fond of the cowboy either.*
Nike briefly thought to himself.
"Let's start this over, My name is Tony Lucas, Eldest Son of Frank Lucas, and the Crime Prince. Nice to meet you!"
When the ability to speak was returned to him, Nike spoke again so as to respond to man's pompous courtesy:
"I don't don't want no smoke. It's true that I got ahead of myself - it's a bad habit of mine, and for that I apologize."
Nike began his speech with sarcastic banter, but ended with a more sincere apology. He knew full well that it was in his best interest not to make an enemy of this man, and on some level, he respected to the guy's single-minded, business oriented personality. Nike extended his hand and firmly shook Tony's while proceeding to introduce himself more seriously.
"My name's Nike, likewise. I may have a big mouth, but my skills speak for themselves. As a testament to that, I worked alongside Fang in the Grand Heist that swept Chinatown just over a month ago. Me and my boy here."
Nike was referring to Drayce.
"So we won't disappoint. I'm looking forward to working with you guys."
Nike said so humbly - or as humbly as he could - despite just previously boasting about his ability.

“Laughable.” Alien stated as he retreated to a free table. This seemed to be one big meet and greet with multiple characters with toxic personalities clashing. The giant individual walked with confidence, but size meant little in terms of skill and brains, yet he reeked of power. He was quite interesting. Alien wouldn’t mind watching this individual closely, so he did. The rest of the bystanders seemed like extras in his story, including Alien. He couldn’t help but wonder just what was the myotive here. He wasn’t very social so talking to these people meant very little to him. He found himself more comfortable with being alone until he was needed or until the premise of this secret gathering had been exposed. Alien had many questions, but he was patient, maybe his cool calm and collected attitude would drag more attention to him.
He wasn’t sure if these people cared for his attendance and they might find him to be stuck up for separating himself from the masses. He continued to sprout his tentacles (12), pulling chairs closer to him in order to place his two captives in them. He tied them to the chairs using his tentacles and proceeds to drink the beverage known as tea. More of these clowns continued to appear, a woman now. Seemed like the attendance list was still going. Individuals would be flexing there might, but Alien still cared very little about t the situation again he was more concerned about getting the job down. He made mental notes of the small things, the finger snapping, earth quaking, etc. Thing that may just help him in the future to detain a possible enemy.
He put his eyes back on the masked individuals. “Just what is this all for?” He asked himself, was the conclusion of all this worth it.
Naomi simply continued to watch the events occur around her, listening on until something of interest happened though she smiled at the sight of Gaunter and the Lucas Family maiden appearing to be having a bout. Interesting characters all around but none peaked her attention enough to speak towards.
How boring, this little get together turned into little more than a show off of different egos. As expected i could not find any individual that particularly stood out to me, just villains showing off their powers in a subtle boot lick to the host of the event, it was fun to watch for a few moments ill admit but it quickly lost its appeal leaving me with little more than annoyance and mild anger at being subjected to the rest of these phonies.
"SO ARE WE GOING TO START THIS LITTLE MEETING OR NOT?, I GROW TIRED OF BEING COOPED UP WITH THESE IMITATORS?!!"
I yelled the sentence instead of normally talking to convey to the higher powers in this meeting that my anger is quickly rising above the novelty of this meet and greet.
The lonesome dark cloaked man sat and observed silence. Around him the bustle of henchmen and villains. At least so he thought based on the familiarity of some faces. As with all things nefarious there was tension abound. Be it the goons unimpressed by the selection of newbies or the greenhorns themselves, to willing and eager to prove their worth. A fledgling of his faction but master in theater, the man felt a connection to both sides. In that regard he could empathize with the unpleasantness that lingered. While he examined the expensive location, the clock struck the hour and his expression shifted to frustration. Yet, behind his mask the change was unnoticed.
Identifying himself simply as Nox, the figure was M'sondaa or rather an assumed alter. An acolyte of The Fang Organization the African had deemed it necessary to separate official and personal affairs. To the Fang he was merely an electrical quirk user hellbent on revolution. However, there was more to him. What this new character would demand of, he was unsure. If anything his creation was based on impulse. To be precise he was following a lead one of his contacts in Chinatown provided. Rumble had deemed it of vital importance he stay back & build their connection in Chinatown but M'sondaa wanted to explore. If possible expand his 'power'.
Alas, he couldn't serve two masters so here he was. M'sondaa or rather Nox had succeeded in infiltrating The Lucas Family. All he needed was simple invitation; one easily procured from the Chinatown's underworld miscreants. Still, in the hours since his arrival he had grown frustrated at his inability to create an interesting alter. This was until one man acted out. To his right a man (Koren) had shown his intent by attacking the hosts. At least it seemed so if the disruption to the magnetic fields was to be believed. Without much forethought Nox had reacted by unleashing wave of magnetic ice. Its crystalline essence running across the floor covering it and providing an ice platform (that would render Koren's crater obsolete) while it chilled the vicinity. "Bumbaclot. Ya need fe chill or me'll happily show you to." he blurted out, his annunciation a thick Jamaican accent, before sucking through his teeth. "Ya idiot"
Vuta Quirk: EM Rank: D Experience Points: 10 Type: Offensive | Defensive | Supplementary Range: Close Damage: +0.5 DMG (Physical | Ranged | Freeform) Description: A precursor technique of EM which upon activation, grants the production and control over the magnetism branch of electromagnetism. This is achieved through the release of personal and interaction with existing magnetic fields. These magnetic fields are naturally translucent in their existence and application. Nevertheless, once triggered the immediate ability gained is that of attraction, repulsion and telekinesis. With full control exhibited over parramagnetic and ferromagnetic materials. The size of the manipulated targets is equal to its range in this case five meters in diameter. By manipulating magnetic force more so constriction during attraction one can produce greater concussive damage. Further manipulation allows conversion of said fields into shields that can withstand FF damage. The ability itself acts like sonar and enables inherent detection of targets within its field. Due to the relationship between Stima (electricity) and Vuta (magnetism), this ability can function alongside Stima. Drawbacks: A passive skill, this ability inflicts a sustained -3% EM expenditure. This passive activation and cost stacks with the turn based depletion rates. Diamagnetic materials can completely resist the attraction element of Vuta. However, they can be influenced by repulsion.
Baridi Quirk: EM Rank: D Experience Points: 10 Type: Offensive | Defensive | Supplementary Range: Short Damage: 3 = 2(Base)+0.5(Vuta+0.5(T'jwan) Description: A technique designed to alter the responsiveness of magnetic fields and produce magnetic charged ice. This is achieved by slowing localized magnetic fields' travelling speed to and from respective poles. In normal environmental conditions, magnetic field alignment between the poles and foster standard magnetism. However, in extremely cool temperatures the fields/atoms will move slower and less erratic-ly. This technique serves in creating the desired temperature condition. In turn resulting in a more controlled alignment that produces a cold magnetic field. Aforementioned field materializes as condensed ice crystals (magnetic ice) which can be telekineticly manipulated. Furthermore, magnetism is slightly stronger in cold temperatures; resulting in abilities from this branch being powerful relative to normal attacks. As such successful attacks inflict both a charge and -5PHY to SPD, this does not stack. Drawbacks: If performed within the EM threshold this moves inflicts no expenditure. However, once EM expenditure drops below 50% usage rate will be inflicted. For every construct erected a 1% EM fee will be individually charged. Limiting the total output to ten constructs for a maximum of 10% (standard D rank usage rate fee). The strength of magnetic ice is different from standard EM magnetism or Ice. This is reflected with; A minimum 20PHY strength to shatter it or equal to more damage.
Vader had a strong case of amnesia, he didn't particularly remember what happened, but he had awakened back in an apartment by the Bronx. His head ringing, his eyes sore, Anakin Skywalker found his armor laid neatly in a circle around his bed.
"What happened..?"
The last thing he could recall was introducing himself to a crowd of Level 6 villains, he recalled vaguely that they were rushing to escape...a clash, lights, sounds, and then...nothing. Rubbing his eyes, Anakin floated his helmet towards himself. His eyes were weary, and he wanted to sleep a bit longer, however he didn't know where he was or what he was doing there. Peering thoughtfully into Vader's eyes, Anakin suddenly stood up.
"I won't accomplish anything just lounging around here, I need to find out what happened last night."
Walking around the apartment though, Anakin spotted a small invitation underneath the door.
*Flash forward a few hours*
It seemed that Vader was the final one to arrive. A couple of familiar faces peered around at the scene, some from the last gathering of villains. This time though, Vader vowed to make anyone who tried to fool him suffer.
With a simple snap of his fingers Tony had silenced Nike. Although amusing it rubbed Drayce the wrong way, it was not just a basic display of his quirk. It was obviously intended as a display of superiority. However the tone seemed to change immediately upon Tony hearing Drayce finish his sentence. It was clear one of those names meant something to him and it wasn't hard to figure out who or why. It was Deathpierce, being such an important figure in the crime world he must have put two and two together. A casual name drop by Drayce had obviously piqued the Crime Lords Interest. Drayce couldn't help but laugh as Nike apologized, pathetic he thought to himself. He needed to learn what it meant to be important and Drayce took it upon himself to teach him. Drayce would proceed to shake Tony's hand with a smile as he began to talk.
"Charmed, Your family name is well respected Mr. Lucas. Your invitation was something not many would pass up. Flattery casually shifted to the real conversation. Yes, you heard the name correctly. Refraining from saying it again so as not to be brash Drayce explained the connection. "You could say my friend and I are somewhat growing under her, apprentices if you will, admittedly we are indeed new to the organization. Your initial discontent is understandable, I would feel no different from you if what I perceived to be rookie villains were more trouble then they were worth. I however would like to explain that a rookie is someone new to the game not someone who isn't good at it" Trying to start his own connections in the crime world was important and he hoped Tony would be the first. " You're savvy enough to understand to win the game you need the better players, so next time you need a team I hope you consider us, after all with him out you'll be seeing a lot of us" A slight mention of the symbol to further intrigue Tony and build the bridge Drayce desired.
Upon ending the discussion a crater was created by one of the members, and later overlapped by another member. An Ice user it seemed until his voice was heard "Bumbaclot. Ya need fe chill or me'll happily show you to" It was too obvious an accent, the third was here Drayce and Nike looked towards each other as if the to both acknowledge he was here and ask themselves when the hell did he learn how to use ice. Not making light of him however in front of Tony if he hadn't responded to his call and met up with them there was clearly a reason to his secrecy and the two understood that. So Drayce shifted his attention to the one who made the crater "If that was supposed to be a display of power I suggest you don't do it again for two reasons. 1 you're being a bad guest, 2 some people don't find weaklings entertaining"
Koren was unimpressed as the ice suddenly erupted, filling the crater he had created and stopping the full force of his move, but at the same time, his plan worked perfectly. Others had acted, some had moved, tension filled the air almost as soon as his power was released, also, he had done it all without fully revealing his ability, a perfect plan. The man with the thick accent, dangerous most likely, his reactions to Korens attack where too fast, meaning this man was either extremely strong, or had some kind of precognitive ability allowing him to counter alot faster, but that was besides the point, as this man wasn't necessarily Kornens enemy at this point, clearly a man scared of the people around him, a coward, most likely, and when the real fighting started, Koren believed he would be no where to seen. Under his mask, Koren smiled, this was perfect, until the silence in his own mind was broken by the ramblings of another nobody. The man claimed Koren was being a bad guest, and a weakling, but his feeble understanding was showing all too clearly, as was his fear. A man who would rather sit and obey, be told what to do, instead of act on his own, perhaps these two where alligned somehow, but also irrelevant. Turning to the man, Koren pointed to the piece of paper and phone on the table he had left earlier with his right hand, while fishing his own phone out of his robe with his left as he spoke.
One cannot be a bad guest if one was never truly invited, can they? I'm more of an interested trespasser than a guest, so sit there and cower in fear like the good little dog you are, and leave me to my own devices, unless you wish to end up like the ground beneath my feet.
With his right hand, Koren shifted his mask, careful to channel his quirk into his chest, as he slightly twisted his mask to the side, looking the man dead pan, revealing the large grin that adorned his face, while still keeping most of his face hidden. It was no fear tactic, nor was he trying to intimidate, it was the exact opposite, he was showing his excitment, showing that no matter how strong the people around him, Koren cared little, he would fight everyone in this room if he had to, and he'd do everything he could to live through it, and even if he died, he'd fight with this same, excited smile on his face till the bitter end, that was the message he was sending as he readjusted his mask, slotting it over his face once more before slipping into the crowd of butlers and villains, looking for food, as he hadn't eaten in a few days, this was ample oppotunity.
Tony smirked, these rookies had a lot to learn, but he wasn't much interested in Nike, he seemed too casual for him. He could definitely whip him into shape but Drayce seemed to have a level of control and discipline that would be good for an "Unborn". The surgery needed to convert them would be tedious but well worth it. However, before extending an invite to them, he needed to see their quirk abilities. Regardless, he would keep an eye on them. He listened to Drayce speak on the fact that he was under Fang already, before giving him a shady side-eye.
"You are Death pierce's mule? It seems you already have an organization, but I'll keep an eye on you regardless. Remember, Family is forever. You can't be in fang and be apart of us. We have maintained a good relationship with fang by not intermingling our members, however-" He started to say before he noticed commotion near where his sister was.
"Geez, all this yelling..."
He said before he waved his right hand, and reduced Koren into a pile of ashes with a simple manifestation of his will. Whatever he says goes. He inherited his power from his father, who could use it on a much grander scale with fewer drawbacks. Blood began to leak from his nose as the strain became visible, quickly wiping it off before anyone could notice.
Xuebei had easily saw through the illusion, not because of her immunity, but because she was already inside of his mind. She could see things from his perspective and tell what he was thinking, it was how she was able to hear what he told her brother about "Sun's End" in the first place. However, she still saw the illusion and was effected by it. She was genuinely impressed, not many people could use illusions or even mental powers. If he joined the family, she could definitely teach him a thing or two. Delving deeper into his mind, she could see it was just a lucky guess and that she had jumped the gun, but also confirmed his suspicion. She was conflicted, she could easily scramble his mind now that the link had been established, but the power to create illusions could prove useful.
"Weak, something at this level doesn't work on me."
She said as she reverses the illusion and amplifies it. Controlling her own sense of sight and causing the false image of him to fade away. Simultaneously she would place him in an optical illusion, making him experience a lavish lifestyle. In the illusion, Gaunter would experience sitting on a throne made of pure gold, inside of a 14 story mansion with several naked women and expensive cars, materialistic treasures to tempt him.
"However, join us and this can all be yours. I am the Spymaster and Head of Intelligence Division in the Lucas Family. I can train you and make your illusions far more potent than anything you could possibly imagine."
Just as she did, in the real world she noticed someone approaching her, attempting to make a name for himself. She wasn't a big fan of how he executed his actions and decided she was going to just overload his mind with thoughts beyond human capacity and scramble his brain to the point of no return, but as she did she noticed eye begin to form beneath her. Things were getting out of hand, and she had no choice but to destroy all of them in one fell swoop. Before she could act, her brother had already turned him into ashes.
"ENOUGH!" A voice boomed, the bass and the tone of his voice commanded everyone's attention and shook the ground. Even the plant life itself reacted, almost as if it was rejecting the essence of life. "Return!" He said once more, as both Tony and his sister Xuebei looked at each other.
Zel Lucas, officially Zel X, stood up as he walks forward a bit so that everyone could see him clearly, all of the waiters stood in line behind him. He wore an all-white suit that came from Paris, the capital of fashion. He held his hands behind his back and exhumed an aura of leadership as he held his head high and chest up. In terms of power, he was on par with those such as Death pierce, and by ranking in the Lucas Family, he was second only to Frank Lucas, his older twin brother. He wore shades by Louis Vuitton, however, they were tented with a special material, that can block even the Sun's Rays.
"I humbly apologize for the long wait, however, I had to make sure you guys were served the best hospitality. Our family's reputation matters. Please give it up for our Waiters who served us so kindly...or should I really call them Leona's Pets!" He said with a malevolent grin on his face. He said as he pointed at the distinctive tattoo on the back of their hands. It was a sun with flares around it, signifying their allegiance to the Top 10 Hero Leona. "Thank you kindly for your service, Xuebei you can release them from duty." He said as his niece's eyes began to glow as well as all of the waiters, giving them back their consciousness.
"Tony..."
"...Yes, Uncle" Tony said before his uncle finished, understanding his role. He clasped his hands together once more, and in an instant, all of their throats and wrists were slit open. They all bleed out profusely and quickly in front of their guest.
There was a moment of silence as everyone tried to figure what was going on and why it was happening.
"We sent invites her to almost everyone here, some of you all took your invite off someone you killed, but it's all fair. If they were killed that easily they didn't deserve to be here." He said as he looked over at the strange individual who had been growing tentacles and the pile of ash on the floor. "Now as for what's happening here, the waiters who were meant to serve and wait on you were actually members of Leona's League, the Sun Heroes. We took control of their minds and had them provide for you as a gesture of goodwill. The Heroes plan to use this Garden to host their exams and those guys were here to help host it. I'm not interested in the students so much as I am in the person proctoring the exam. Leona, the Queen of Heroes and the Strongest Woman Alive. She has a transformation type quirk that allows her to turn into the Sun! If we can harness the energy produced by her body we can create a weapon that makes nuclear bombs look like typical grenades. As easy it would just have the remaining powerhouses destroy those students, we also have several positions open in our organizations and decided to have...'tryouts' and knock two birds out with one stone. If you aren't interested there will be a payout regardless, and if none of these interest you...you are free to leave. We have put everything on the line. Considering how the newer generation will shape the future, we have always put most of our resources into the newer generation, reaffirming our foundation. Because of this approach, our position at the top of the black market has never faltered."
He said in a very calm and collected way. It was up to them to decide what they wanted to do. Frank snapped his fingers and returned Koren back to his original state, hopefully, his lesson was learned. His spirit and consciousness retained even as a pile of ash, according to Tony's Will.
"Well well, it's always interesting to see another of the mental quirk type users and I haven't been in this country very long at all. Though money is of little consequence to me. No I desire more.. human things. But nonetheless I accept your offer."
Gaunter replied to the woman with a grin. Impressed by her poise and power, before the room fell silent as the man explained their plan. Sun's end it seemed the name was fitting after all. They were targeting Leona herself, quite the task no doubt. Gaunter would certainly accompany them. Despite the somewhat crude and macabre nature of the display made. It was a show of power no doubt to cause the other villains to tow the line. So many egos clashing in one room was never smooth sailing after all.
Trait Point Cost: 3 Description: Due to Gambit’s Kinetic Energy abilities, he passively keeps his potential energy charged. This results in a buildup of un-harmful, bioelectricity since the potential energy has become charged; hence, a stronger mental fortitude is development. The perk to this condition is that the kinetic energy shields (D-Rank and Below) his mind from detection and intrusion of mental base assaults.
Gambit walks closer as the man in the back stands up and is talking. Gambit knew he wasn't a real fighter but can be if he trained himself hard. As the waiters are killed he didn't flinch a bit because this was something normal to see someone die. In his head he say, "This place is crazy." He takes to of his cards and hold them in his right hand as he hold the rest of the deck in his left. The cards in his right hand glow.
Quirk: Emitter Quirk Level: Basic Rank: D Experience Points: Free(free) Type: Offense | Defense Range: Self Damage: N/A Description: Molecular Acceleration is an Emitter Quirk which allows the user to convert the potential energy stored in an object to kinetic energy thus “charging” that item with explosive results. The “charging” takes place by touching an object indicated by a pinkish red color around the object. All objects have a maximum amount of charge they can handle before exploding, however the charge time is dependent on the size of the object.
Drawback:
~ Below One Meter in Dimension: 1 Move Slot ~ Roughly One Meter in Dimension: 2 Move Slots ~ Roughly Two Meters in Dimension: - 3 Move Slots
~ Roughly Three Meters in Dimension: - 2 Turns ~ Roughly Four Meters in Dimension: - 3 Turns ~ Roughly Five Meters in Dimension: - 4 Turns
Quirk: Molecular Acceleration Rank: E-D Experience Points: 15(free) Type: Offensive Range: Close Damage: 1-2 Description: The user holds a certain amount of cards in their hand and sendings them out after converting the potential energy in the card(s) to kinetic energy. The user throws the card(s) at their desired target in results of an explosive damage to their target which can knock back or damage their target depending on the situation.
Note: The user can send certain numbers of cards based on the technique rank used. Using multiple cards causes Damage Magnitude to Split. { 1 Card Holds All the Damage Magnitude, 2 Cards Split the Damage Magnitude in Half, 4 Cards Split the Damage Magnitude by Quarters. }
"I am in but I am a specialist in stealing not killing and fighting so hopefully I can be serves to you and your family."
He does a little bow with the cards in his right hand he throws them at two of the bodies of the servers of Leona's League. The bodies explode a little with pieces flying around but none get on anyone at all.
The last person to reveal himself from under the shade of the center table was a gruff man who identified himself as Zel X, the second-highest ranking member of the Lucas family. His appearance was marked by a thunderous shout that roused the attention of everyone in the Greenhouse; his voice resounded through the room and over the clamor of all the guests. In a split second, the room was dead quiet, and everyone seemed to hang on his every word. He then proceeded to explain the motivations behind their spontaneous assembly: apparently, a group of fledgling heroes were currently on their way to the Gardens for a combat-training exercise designed for them to better respond to villainous threats. The excursion was to be sponsored by one of the Top 10 Heroes, Leona, whom Zel wished to capture at all costs.
Nike thought to himself while listening to the man speak:
*So that's what this is about. Hehh ~ how ironic would it be if I got to see "her" again, so soon.*
The girl he was referring to was Kuvira, a student of the University whom he'd recently had the pleasure, or rather, the displeasure of fighting. Their last fight had ended without a real winner, and Nike was itching for a rematch. He'd managed to gain some knowledge on the inner workings of her Quirk, and would use that to his advantage should he encounter her again.
Not enough with that, Nike's participation in this event could possibly help him to foster new business relationships in the Black Market, something that he'd wanted to accomplish for some time now. Doing well here would allow him to hasten his future plans to build his own Empire. The payout was merely a bonus at this point. Considering everything, he was more fired up than usual, and thus, he temporarily adopted a more serious demeanor.
After Zel had finished speaking, Nike spoke his piece:
Korens world went black for what felt like only a moment, before all came rushing back. He'd felt his own death, and it was weird. His legs felt weak and his stomach hurt, but he seemed to be in one piece. This was good, however, as they killed him and brought him back, meaning he had some use in their plan, or at least, he could no become a hinderance in it. As if he had been there, all the information rushed into him, about the hero's training here and being able to take them down, this was music to his ears as he steadied himself against a wall. The dead on the ground likely were going to stay dead, as would the young hero's coming into the gardens. Koren knew, he would have to bide his time on this one however, if he wanted to hunt hero's. Koren truly had no desire to hunt the villains in this room, the hero's were he true goal, the fastest way to spread carnage and chaos, was to parade the heads of hero's around the world, and thats just what he planned to do. Staying up against the wall, Koren decided to remain silent, letting the weakness in his knee's and nausea in his stomach pass before trying to think of how he would approach the situation.
