Nike let out a disgruntled sigh as he was woken up by the glare of morning-sunshine beating against his eyelids. The light seeped into his room through the creases in the blinds, regrettably interrupting a salacious dream about Deathpierce, just as things were beginning to heat up. He proceeded to un-enthusiastically roll out of bed, still drowsy from the night before.
Nike had recently made the acquaintance of Fury, a well-known drug dealer on the lower east side of Manhattan. Although the two of them became fast-friends, they’d managed to make enemies just as quick. On the night of their meeting, the two were confronted by three men in an argument that abruptly escalated to violence. Tipsy from all the drinking he’d done that night, Nike killed the men, unaware that one of them was a made-man in the Runorata Italian Crime-Family. Since then, Nike and Fury and been making plans to protect themselves in anticipation of their expected retribution. The duo tirelessly toiled in search of a way to fight back, despite their lack of manpower. However, just last night, they’d managed to arrive at a solution that they were both satisfied with. It was a risky idea that could land them in more trouble than they bargained for, but Nike opted for this plan nonetheless.
Fury was the dealer and the man with the connections, while Nike was the muscle who protected him for a favorable percentage of his profits. Today would mark the first step in their plan, where Nike would infiltrate the Runorata Hideout in search of information on their drug imports and connections. Although Fury’s current operation was small in scale, this intel would prove instrumental in the following steps of their plan and their post-op takeover of Manhattan. It was essential that Nike succeed without being noticed, however his Quirk and ability of permeation were ideal for such a covert mission.
Up until now, the two of them had spent several nights on a stake-out of the Runorata residence, analyzing the ins and outs of the place, as well as the placement of security; their knowledge would make it much easier for Nike to infiltrate. In the meantime, Fury would place his confidence in Nike while working to get the ball rolling on the second stage of their plan. For better or for worse, today’s events might change the course of their lives forever.
Nike heartily ate his breakfast before proceeding with the rest of his morning rituals, which consisted of brushing his teeth, taking his morning shit, showering, shampooing twice, facing an L while hot-boxing his bathroom, and then eating a box of Samoa Girl Scout Cookies while watching an episode of The Office. Afterwards, he’d smoke a second blunt while thanking Jah before getting dressed, throwing on his casual clothes, and lacing up his kicks. The smoke helped to ease his mind before a mission and served to mellow out his volatile personality. With that, he left his home in Brooklyn and made his way towards Manhattan in a junker car that he could easily replace.
The Runorata Hide Out was located in Little Italy. Surprisingly enough, Nike found that the best time for a home invasion was during the day, while the inhabitants were out and about. With the majority of the Runorata goons spread through the city, Nike would proceed with his mission. He would approach from one side of the house, moving under the cover of a large, decorative shrub that created a natural blind spot for him to avoid security. He took a few minutes to observe the security personnel on that side of the house, and afterwards, sprang into action the moment he felt that they had let their guard down. In a split second, Nike would activate his Quirk, and then permeate his body into intangibility. He would then jolt forward, through the plants and the fence that surrounded the compound. In that fraction of a moment where the guards weren’t looking his way, Nike would run behind them, cancel his intangibility, and knock both of them unconscious by striking at the occipital ridge with significant force. With that, the two men fell over onto the floor, blissfully unaware of what just happened.
He was inside the gate – the next step was to make his way into the building. Just as he had done before, Nike would phase his body and move through the outer walls of the compound until he successfully made his way inside. Once he was inside, moving around became a bit easier; there were ample rooms for him to hide in, if the need ever arose. However, his unfamiliarity with the buildings layout would mean that he’d need to search good and long before he found what he needed. The information that he was searching for would likely be recorded on the hard-drive of Don Bartolo Runorata’s personal computer. Although it was merely an assumption, Nike searched for a room that was likely to be guarded from the outside to protect the Don’s goods.
After nearly 20 minutes of searching, Nike was drawing a blank. There had been some close calls, but he had yet to be discovered. However, although he’d tried his best to remain within the blind spots of their security cameras, Nike was convinced that there would eventually come a time where he wouldn’t be able to avoid their omniscience. He had to move quickly, for the longer he remained inside, the more likely he was to be caught, and while Nike felt that he was a capable fighter, he had no intentions of fighting when significantly out-numbered by the Mob’s Quirk users.
However, just as soon as he thought that, Nike arrived at an office room that was guarded by two frightening brusque men.
*This must be the place* he thought.
Without wasting anymore time, Nike phased his body one more time and ran through the walls of the adjacent rooms until he’d managed to enter the Don’s office unnoticed by the men outside. He hurried towards the computer, and used his knowledge from the [Evil Genius Trait] to steal the necessary information and upload a virus that would allow him and Fury to remotely view any plans that the Organization might make in the future.
Once he’d saved all of the necessary information on a flash drive, Nike moved towards the Don’s safe. He proceeded to raid the safe by permeating through it and disabling its locks to steal a handsome amount of money and jewelry that was stored inside. Nike figured that it was a little something extra for him to take home and make the long trip worth it. Afterwards, when he’d gotten everything that he needed, Nike made his way out of the compound by phasing through the walls and speeding outside the gate at blinding speeds.
He was in and out of the place in under half an hour, with the first phase of his and Fury’s mission now complete. Just as he did when he arrived, Nike made his way to the car that he’d arrived in and drove away as incognito as he could. There was likely to be some camera footage of him rummaging around the Don’s office, but this much was part of the plan. Although he’d wanted to avoid getting caught in the process, having the Mafia know that he was responsible for the burglary would help Nike to advance things to the next level.
And with that knowledge in mind, he hurriedly made his way back to South Brooklyn.
