Objective/Summary: Arthesia has just recently arrived in New York. It was her first time being in the US and being in such a huge city. She gets involved in some sort of fight but was the outcome to be this horrible? Will her families word effect her story? [Kill a citizen.]
Day 1 / Weather: Windy with rain [Dusk]
Arthesia gripped her tattered coat closer to her as if trying to stay warm. She finally arrived to her last stop and it was a place called New York city. Unfortunately for her the weather was not in a good mode as rain poured from the sky and thunder could be heard from overhead. The sounds of the weather were almost blocked out entirely as the sounds of cars and people surrounded her. New York was such a huge place and Arthesia was not use to such a place. People were all around her bumping into her and telling her to watch where she was going. Everyone here seemed like they had a place to go or something to do. Not to mention the lights of the city were almost blinding. It was like the city had a life of its own and seemed to stay up all night. The city here was so much different from her home back in Greece and she was somewhat excited yet nervous of starting her life here.
It has been two years since Arthesia was banished from the forest she resided in in Greece. She could have stayed in Greece if she wanted but she did not want to be reminded of her family and the harsh decision they made for her. She had to steal and do many things in order to come here to the US. Not only was it hard to obtain the money to get here but there also was a language barrier she had to try and overcome. She only knows a moderate amount of English but just enough to make some sense she thought. Thinking of the past seem to put her in a melancholy mood and she wished they would understand that it needed to be done... There was no other way... yet they cast her out like she was some sort of monster. Arthesia's thoughts were interrupted as someone bumped into her telling her to move out of their way. She looked over at the man briefly before he disappeared from her vision as he turned the corner running. Arthesia walked slowly water dripping off her coat as she was soaked wet with water. She turned the same corner that man did , the path became dark as Arthesia kept walking. She ended up in a dark alleyway that only lit up when lightning raced a crossed the sky reveling four people who seemed to be hitting someone.
Coming closer Arthesia could hear multiple people laughing and a painful grunt coming from someone. The sound of her shoes must have given her away as someone turned to her direction Lightning once again lit up the alleyway reveling everyone here. Arthesia could somewhat understand what was going on. There was four men who were beating up on a women. One of them had the lady by her hair and she looked to be in bad shape. The men focused their attention on Arthesia now and asked her what she was doing here. Two of the men approached her with knifes in their hands. Arthesia did not move and simply answered coldly. "One of you bumped into me earlier and forgot to apologize for your rudeness."
One of guys who had bumped into her earlier realized who she was and seemed angry at her comment because then he rushed at her with the knife in his hand yelling out "You stupid bitch!" Another flash of lightning reveled where the guy was charging from and without hesitation Arthesia moved her arm to the side in a quick movement. Vines quickly jolted from Arthesia's arms and snapped a crossed the side of the man sending him spiraling to the ground. The poor guy never saw it coming and due to this action the others quickly came after Arthesia shouting out words of anger at her. She was now being charged by three men and the odds were certainly against her but nonetheless she stayed calm. She stepped backwards trying to avoid there takings and stepping side to side her eyes sharply tracing the attack on her however she misjudged one of the attacks and the knight grazed her cheek causing blood to drizzle down; mixing in with the rain. In that moment adrenaline kicked in and she spun around quickly using her vines to drip her enemies causing them to lose their balance and slip on the ground due to the rain and falling over.
The three men moaned from the fall and one of them even spared for his life. She seen people like these before and it only made her remember the hunters who pointed a gun at her. They spared for their lives as well but did they ever change their ways? No they would simply come back with more men and destroy everything. As Arthesia walked up to the man and held out her hand which showed the vine at ready to strike, the woman who got hurt rushed up and stood between the men and Arthesia. "Do not kill them please!" "It was my mistake!" cried the woman. Arthesia was confused as to why she would defend the very men who beat on her and caused her so much pain. Why would anyone defend people like that? No matter what this woman could have done it surely did not deserve what she received. Before Arthesia could respond the woman now was bleeding and clearly shocked as to what had happened to her. One of the men seemed to have gotton up and had stabbed the backside of the woman and this also shocked Arthesia. She tried to spare their lives and he only ended up betraying her. The woman fell to her knees in great pain and this only seemed to stir up Arthesia's anger. The man laughed as the woman fell to the ground. "Now things are settled." he said. Then the other men started to stand up and looked at Arthesia.
Lighting flashed once more and it showed Arthesia's expression and the men flinched slightly. "Now that your shield is gone you will not leave here alive..." Arthesia said in a cold menacing voice. As the three men started to run away or to attack her with a quick movement of her arm her vines from both arms pierced through all three men right in the chest. "You deserve the worst of fates in the afterlife." Arthesia simply said as her vines came back to her soaked with blood. Arthesia then looked down at the woman who was still trying to breath. The woman then looked right at Arthesia before speaking. "Why...?" "Killing....is... not... the... w..ay.." "All...lif...e is... precious..." Those simple words struck Arthesia deeply as she remembered her family saying the same thing to her. It was ridiculous to even say such words if the people are trying to kill you or harm something you are protecting why let them live? So they can come back and do the same thing or inflict worse fates? Turning them in does nothing... So called heroes do nothing. So in the end one must end things. This caused Arthesia to be angry "You are a fool and because of your foolishness you will die and be forgotten." Arthesia simply said before taking the woman's last breath with her vines.
Arthesia stood there for a moment feeling empty. The situation could have ended up different but because of one foolish woman it had to be the worst outcome. Arthesia looked up at the cloudy sky ; the rain gently landing on her face and dripping down as if she appeared to be crying. Even with everything that as occurred she still felt that she was right. But even as she thought that the words of the woman and her family tugged at the corners of her heart. Regaining her composure Arthesia walked away leaving the scene with only one thought on her mind. "I will not let their words drag me to my death..."
