As Gogo held Eli on the ground, she struggled to stop his escape attempts. Barely succeeding in this action - until Eli made his move. After a quick moment of no resistance, Gogo would be shocked as they were launched into the air. Eli would preform a combination of complex maneuvers mid air, which Gogo was in no position to stop considering she was taken off guard. As they began to descend, Gogo tried to figure out what her next move was in this situation. She was in no position to try and turn the hold back on Eli, and if she let this happen then she would lose for sure since it would be easy for Eli to snatch the key chain from around her waist.
As they continued to fall, Gogo would inhale deeply. In this situation there were no other options other than falling back on her quirk. The oxygen she took in would be broken down, and combined with her saliva. As she exhaled, a stream of smoke would gush from her mouth. As they falled, the two would fall through the smoke face first. While Gogo was immune, Eli was not. This smoke however was not normal smoke. Anyone that comes in contact with this snoke in particular would begin to experience intense hallucinations.
"I should be able to get away once we land thanks to this smoke. I should probably hea-"
"AHH!"
Her thought process would be cut short by an extremely hard landing. The stream of smoke she had been creating stopped as the air was knocked from her lungs. While the smoke may or may not have effected Eli, that did nothing to change the position she was placed in while falling from the sky. Briefly shaking the pain, she would roll over to throw the boy off of her back before getting up. Without any further hesitation she made a break heading North, into the grouping of plateaus, hoping to escape into one of the many crevasses the terrain introduced.

As the two students hastily descended, Eli felt himself gaining confidence in strides. His knees pressed into Gogo's back and her arm restrained, Gogo would be helpless against Eli snatching the key-chain. He felt a tingle through his fingertips as he reached forward toward the dangling object, moments away from winning this challenge, his arms splitting into two separate entities... Wait... two arms...? It was then that Eli noticed the constant stream of smoke pouring out of Gogo's mouth, hitting him squarely in the face as they crashed through the atmosphere. The plume of vapor enveloped Eli's senses, intoxicating him with some sort of unknown poison; Eli thought he could clearly see three separate Gogos, each of them attempting to wriggle their way out of Eli's hold. The illusion continued as Eli and Gogo smashed into the ground sending shockwaves into Gogo and Eli alike.
At this moment, Eli couldn't tell exactly what was going on. He felt himself being rolled over, likely Gogo escaping his hold; Eli blinked rapidly as several Gogo clones flooded his vision, darting off into the distance in each direction. Which one... where...? Eli stared into empty space, changing blurry focus between the three zones: east, north, and west. His weary body picked itself up and his feet danced weakly, unable to decide which 'Gogo' to follow. With uncertainty to the truth, Eli stumbled out to the east.
01:40
Gogo taunted Eli, sticking her tongue out in protest as Eli climbed inch by inch, hand over hand. She spared no words for the feat of strength that Eli was due to display, instead, Gogo started slapping her backside several times to antagonize Eli. "I'm... coming... for you...!" Eli huffed the statement, struggling to breathe between each word. Had his mind not been so clouded, Eli would have easily traversed the tall cliff by pushing to the top; Eli was in no state of mind to use logic as the smokey blight afflicted his faculties.
01:21
By the time Eli reached the peak of the mountain, Gogo had begun to phase in and out of existence. This prompted Eli to genuinely question what was happening for the first time since he had been infected by Gogo's smoke. Her image was shimmering in and out of sight, appearing much like an oasis in a dry desert. "Wait... you're not here...?" Eli caught his breath for a brief moment, once again blinking rapidly to try and shake the shimmering phantom. "Yeah... you're just an illusion!" Eli argued with the vacant mountain, pausing like he was waiting for Gogo to respond. Of course, none would come, so Eli took off to the next location: the plateaus.
01:07
From his vantage point on the cliffs, Eli took a moment to survey the area he would be traveling to. There were several flat-topped cliffs, only meters apart in separation, obscuring his vision of the chasms. Eli braced himself for a quick launch, kneeling slightly to mentally prepare. Then, he pushed, sending himself flying towards the plateaus. In mid-air, Eli scanned the areas while passing overhead, searching for the smallest hint of movement. Where is she, I don't have much time left... Eli clenched his teeth as he reached the plateau he was aiming for, preparing himself to move immediately upon impact. As soon as his feet met the ground, Eli collapsed into a forward roll, tumbling to keep the momentum form breaking his ankles. Eli's speed carried him toward the edge of the plateau top, causing him to nearly tip over the edge. It was on this edge that Eli spotted, for a moment, his target dashing and darting through the crevasse. "I've got you now!" Eli yelled in excitement, uncaring if he alerted her to his presence. The endgame was at hand, and Eli was determined to be the winner.
Gogo dashed into the dark crevasses to evade Eli, as well as stall for time. She would need to eat as much of it as possible to win. The sun's warm glow would be nonexistent in the cold, dark trenches. Above would be the plateaus, their edges lit from the suns rays. Gogo would continue to dash through the never ending crevasse, her face stuck in between a look of impressed, and disgust. Impressed that Horizon's training ground was so huge, and disgusted that Dawn's training ground was kind of bare in comparison.
As the girl dashed, she would leave behind smoke bombs to catch Eli in even more of her hallucinations had he chose to follow through the crevasse. Though, her effort was for naught.
"I've got you now!"
That country accent was now well etched in Gogo's head. What sent a chill down her spine was the direction at which it was coming from, up above. Her head lurched upwards as she spotted the crimson neck freshman standing above her.
You found me! Cute! Now come and catch me kid!
Gogo would swallow some air, as her chest expanded. A smoky ball would be fired from her mouth towards the side of the plateau, causing an explosion of black mist that imitated the natural phenomenon known as 'smoke'. Eli's vision would be obscured as Gogo began to make a break for it. The end of the gorge nearby, leading into an open rocky area. Leaping over several small rocks, Gogo entered the wide open area.

This would be Eli's moment of triumph in the competition between two collegiate athletes; Eli strove toward greatness at a break-neck pace. The target was in sight, his mission clear, and very little obstacles were hindering accomplishing glory. Gogo Tamago darted through the gorges, whisking about while hugging the turns, evading Eli at each and every corner. In terms of raw speed and leg strength, Eli would be unable to keep up, his defeat would be inevitable. Eli knew his only chance was to rely on his Quirk; in the same thought, it would be dangerous to accelerate in the tight corridors. It's a risk I have to take. Eli braced himself against a craggy wall, gripping the crumbling stone in his palms and allowing his opponent a slight lead out of the chase. With a short breath and a few mental jump ropes, Eli pushed.
The young country upstart zipped and zagged through the crevasse, lurching from wall to wall and pushing off of each and every landing point. The speed he was gaining began to pull at his own eyelids and mouth, peeling them back with each surge of haste. With each and every push, Eli advanced further and yet further still, growing closer to Gogo inch by inch. This was the edge he needed, this was how Eli was going to win!
00:22
Eli once again reached his arm forward, heaving with every lunge toward Gogo, stretching his entire body to grasp at the elusive charm. Just... a couple more... inches...! His fingertips were caressing the key-chain as it dangled in defiance from his clutches. Gogo was not without tricks of her own, of course; while Eli was consumed by the chase, Gogo began to conjure even more of her trademarked bio-weapon. Fumes poured out of her mouth, prefacing another large projectile that would explode into a thick cloud of blackened mist. Eli's vision was immediately impaired, which was a dangerous condition he found himself in while traveling at increasingly high velocities. Unable to predict his next landing point, Eli crashed into the canyon wall and crumpled from the impact. His bones nearly snapped in defiance of the forces pressed against them, but Eli's experience with his Quirk took over as he transitioned the momentum to follow the small pocket of air Gogo provided for him as she exited her own trap. Fighting the pain, Eli sprinted quickly behind her, praying to catch up in time.
00:05
As the dust settled, Eli knew he was in luck. Gogo had chosen to lead him back to their starting position: the clearing to the south of the arena. He had a chance! Eli wiped the leftover smoke from his eyes and pursued her, his heart in his throat.
00:04
Eli knew from his earlier chase, without assistance, his adversary was the superior player. She would win this footrace with ease as Eli toiled to catch up.
00:03
Dead ahead, Gogo passed by the rock Eli had utilized earlier to give chase earlier in the challenge. That's my ticket, I've gotta use that rock...! Eli's mind raced faster than his feet, his legs eager to reach their destination, his blood rushing to each extremity with excitement.
00:02
Eli vaulted swiftly from the ground and twisted his entire body into position. His knees tucked into his chest as his forward roll would land him millimeters in front of the boulder. His hands grazed the stone, creating a launch point for his Vectors; Eli pulled briefly to stick to the impromptu platform, and then, mustering the breadth of his inner strength, Eli once more pushed.
00:01
In the final stretch, Eli soared through the air with more force than he imagined he was capable of. Gogo transitioned from a speck in the distance to her full form in a matter of the blink of an eye. For the last time, Eli spread his fingers wide and lengthened his arm completely, extending his reach to it's fullest capacity. His fingertips kissed the key-chain on Gogo's hip, and-
"Time's up!!" Jennifer yelled from the sidelines, her phone chirping and buzzing in alarm. The competition between Gogo Tamago and Eli Thomas had officially ended. Eli's body didn't understand this until seconds later when for the second time in three minutes he landed face first into the dusty ground beneath him. As he skidded to a halt once more, Eli groaned in both pain and defeat. "Oohhh... Did I win...?" He turned his weary head up to Gogo, who was standing nearby, a silhouette from the sun's rays shining down upon her.

Gogo's body accelerated and decelerated as she snapped around the rocky corners. As she dashed she would glance back to see Eli wipeout against the granite wall. Quickly taking air in her nose and pushing it back out through her mouth, the athlete inside Gogo was wide awake. Years of track and field flashed in her head. The crowd, cheering and clapping as Gogo approached the red tape. Her teammates and coach yelling at her to not take her foot off the gas. Droplets of sweat quickly evolved into streams, those streams ran from her face onto her clothes and left their damp mark. The competition...nowhere in sight. Gogo continued to dash at her fastest speeds.
As she glanced back once more to see if her victory was secure, the sight she saw would shock her. Scarlet neck Eli, would be flying towards her at an almost break neck speed. His face physically warping from the wind of his flight, his body was not very aerodynamic; his arm extended and reaching for his goal, the keychain. A field of dust expanding behind him as he cut through the air.
The speed at which he traveled was so great that Gogo had no time to think, only act. She pushed herself to run even harder, however Eli was outpacing her speed and thus, he was within range. Gogo could hear the Key's jingle as his fingers made contact with the chain.
"Time's up!!" Jennifer yelled from the sidelines, her phone chirping and buzzing in alarm. The competition between Gogo and Eli had officially ended. "Oohhh... Did I win...?" Eli asked as he looked up. His face coated in Gogo's shadow. Looking down at her waist to see the keychain still attached to her belt loop, swinging back and forth, Gogo would respond.
"I'm 'fraid not Eli," Gogo would extend her hand to help him up. After dusting himself off, Jennifer would approach and place a hand on his shoulder.
"Aww shucks! At least i tried," Eli said with a toothy smile.

Gogo and her fellow classmates would board the bus once more, their destination: Dawn University. Both Gogo, and Eli, realized that all of their hard work was paying off after all; Gogo winning, and Eli coming so close, made them pretty happy with their performances.
