Free-Roam Name: Accepting the Dawn Oath

Mob awoke one week after his training with Professor Dupe in his bed wearing his favorite clothes. He was recently able to spend time with his girlfriend Tatsumaki…well it wasn’t like a date to begin with. After first seeing her she immediately started to telekinetically assault him with spawned attacks. Mob was able to dodge them and but her in a bind dragging her towards himself kissing her. In response she easily escaped the bind and attempted to slap Mob to which he was able to slightly avoid her hand.
“Hmph, it seems you have gotten better since your time at school. But you’re still not stronger than me” she scoffed as she pursed her lips.
Mob reminisced over the thought and smiled. Despite all that happened, he and her had recognized that he had gotten stronger and it was exciting. His thoughts were interrupted by the voice in his head,
“Are you done sitting and experiencing nostalgia like an old man past his prime? Get your lazy ass out of bed and doing something productive today, we cannot slack on your training nor your heroic duties so get up!”
“Yeah, yeah I understand” as Mob let out a loud yawn, took a shower, put on his clothes, and stepped out of his dorm to go to the school dining area for breakfast.
Before stepping outside, he made sure to check his Streetz phone for the news and there was a note beside it. Mob reached and pick up the note and observed it.
“Who is it from boy?”
“It’s from Professor Dupe!”
Mob could instantly tell from the rosemary handwriting that his teacher was writing towards him.
“Hello Shigeo come find me soon at my office after you have gotten your breakfast. Yours truly, Professor Dupe.”
Mob stared at the rosemary handwritten letter in earnest.
“What does it say boy, for what reason would she have you meet her? Did you do anything wrong?”
“No, I am not entirely sure what she would want me for, I don’t believe we have to train today.”
Mob went to the school dining room and ate breakfast. It consisted of his favorite pancakes, eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Sitting down, Mob was reminded of his time at the Sports Festival. He was able to make it through the various challenges, but it made it hard for him to come out at the end.
“What do you believe your main flaws were?”
“Damage and control of my drawbacks, those were the main the main factors that contributed to my downfall.”
“Well now you’ll be able to know and improve on that in the future with training. Let us go meet up with your Professor”
Mob walked down the staff office hallways. He had never been at her office or inside the office so it would be interesting to see. Walking slowly down the hall at a pace, the young psychic stopped at the rosemary door with a name tag titled Dupe.
Walking into her office Mob was amazed. There were flowers everywhere and he noticed some of the flowers he had witnessed during their training, signs of an amazing botanist indeed.
“Welcome Shigeo, how have you been?”
“I’ve been great Professor Dupe, I really enjoyed the training from last time.”
“Ah yes, Shigeo before I get to the subject at hand let me see if your training bore any fruit. Test your suppression binds against these training dummies I had shown you before.”
Mob proceeded to activate his freeform telekinetic, mental strengthen, and mental focus move and binded one of the tougher training dummies.
“Ah! I can see that the training worked off, your grip has gotten tighter and strengthened. Good to see that you have trained hard to this point but as you know there is a long road until you are able to call yourself a worthy hero but I see that you have become a provisional hero as well! Good for you Shigeo. It seems that you have started to grasp the value of understanding your own worth. However, there will still be much to work on in the coming years and more mentors that will offer different and unique teaching experiences to yourself. You will also start to become an impact to others more so make sure you say focused and keep your enthusiasm.”
“Yes, I understand.”
“Now that brings me to the main reason you are here. Your participation and performance in the Sport’s Festival proved to the staff that your potential has been noticed and seemed promising to us. We would like to take upon the oath of Dawn University and represent us by joining our league. I must let you know, that the Dawn University league is an organization designed to protect the world at large and the future of the young heroes. With the increasing number of villains and your experience in the turbulent events of the Botanical Gardens we can see that you are fit to take this oath.”
Professor Dupe paused for a moment to let Mob digest everything he had heard. He knew it was a big responsibility and a tall order, but he felt that he was ready to take up the mantle to be a person that people can count on to help others.
“Now Shigeo, will you take the oath to protect the world at hand?”
“I will”
“Good then you are now part of the Dawn University league, congratulations my young pupil.”
“Thank you, Professor Dupe and thanks for all of your help, in my training. I know I have a long way to go to be able to master my quirk and help the world, but I thank you for all of your teaching and I look forward to this new title.”
Mob walked back towards one of his training rooms to train his quirk and gain knowledge.
“It seems that your peers are starting to acknowledge you boy, it is a result of your hard work. But you must continue to work harder and show your worth.”
